Day #9…Sunday, February 8, 2015
Sea Day #1 Heading to Brazil

We arose early and headed to the Horizon Court for breakfast.  As we sat down, a couple, Frank and Judy, from Dayton, Ohio, pleasantly greeted us.  They introduced themselves to us and we spent the next two hours getting to know each other.  It was nice to make contact with some fellow Ohioans.  We have not had the pleasure of meeting too many Ohioans on our past cruises.

We attended a lecture titled “Caution-Dangerous Women” and left midway before it was finished.  We did not care to hear about murderesses that killed their children or siblings.  Why Princess Cruise Lines featured this topic was surely questionable!

We headed to the pool area and spent less than an hour in the sun.  We are nearing the equator and the sun is very intense.  There was a mild breeze, so it was barely tolerable.

After a light lunch, we headed to the Vines, a wine and sushi bar and met our new friends from Dayton.  They asked us to meet them in the afternoon and play some euchre today.  We spent another two hours with them and then headed to our cabin to ready ourselves for dinner.

Lobster tail, our favorite, was one of the main courses tonight and our waiter, Luciana, made sure that we had two tails apiece.  A mentalist, Alex Crowe, from the UK entertained us in the Princess Theater.  After attending his performance, we joined fellow cruisers in the Piazza for the Loveboat 50th Anniversary Dancing through the Decades and Balloon Drop Party.

Tomorrow we will have another sea day as we continue to head toward Brazil.
